Plenty of friends told of us how great this place was and they were 100% right. The inside was rather busy with people and smelled amazing. Their walls are lined with menu items and great drawings of the food. The menu is extensive to choose from and because of the add ons they have so many options. We ended up choosing the hamburger and beer curry with egg, tofu and veggies. They also have a variety of teas and drinks to choose from. They bring it to your table and it’s sizzling hot. You can mix what you want and watch it cook, they put a paper label to prevent burning yourself as well. Also the prices are completely reasonable! Check this place out!

I haven’t been to a pepper lunch since I moved out of the Bay Area back in 2015 finally made some time to head this location from the Inland Empire.

Went for the first time here the other day. I got the pepper chicken dish and my daughter got the chicken curry. I also got miso soup.When you get a chicken dish the chicken is cooked already. When you get a beef dish here, it's uncooked, and that's when you get to cook the beef in the bowl that they bring it in. It was so fun and so good. The bowl comes out to you steaming hot so you really need to be careful not to touch it. It's nice that they have a big paper wrap around it to remind you that it's hot and not to touch it. There are a lot of different things to choose from off the menu, including appetizers. You can also get toppings on your meals. I ended up getting an egg on my pepper chicken dish. The curry sauce (on my daughter's dish) came in a separate container so you can add as much or as little as you want. When the curry sauce hits the hot dish it sizzles! Since this was our first time, we had a ton of questions that we kept asking the girl behind the counter. She was so sweet and helpful. Her name was Miranda. We definitely will come back here to eat and try something different off the menu.

One of my favorite go to lunch spots. I used to see the line at this place and not understand why or what they offered. Grateful to have checked it out though. Been hooked ever since. I always get the large rice beef bowl and it comes on a sizzling plate that you finish cooking your meat on. Incredible!

I got the Classic Beef Pepper Rice Jumbo order and it was the perfect amount for me. Hopefully they bring on the Washington State.

I was so excited to finally visit Pepper Lunch when I went to California since we don’t have one in Dallas. I’ve had it before in Asia and was curious if it would taste the same. Honestly, it wasn’t exactly the same, but it was still really good and definitely worth the trip.

Great location in Irvine. Plenty of free self parking although it gets a bit busy due to many other restaurants in the plaza.

Great lunch experience, the plate is sizzling when brought to the table. This place is a hit, and you know that because there is a line at lunch! The location is a bit small for the number of clients they have. And it took a good 15 minutes to get our food.

YUMMY. We had the chicken and pepper rice in Singapore and this tastes exactly like that. Highly recommend
